They live in spacious, predator-proof hutches, and enjoy quail-appropriate, soy-free organic feed from Reedy Fork Farm in Elon, NC. Quail-appropriate food is very high in protein.

These eggs are from the following the Japanese quail, Coturnix japonica, a species of Old World quail found in East Asia.

They’re low calorie, high protein, and filled with antioxidants. We love to boil them (they only take 5 minutes) and eat them in the car on long trips. You can put them on salads or make a Scotch egg (boil the egg, cover it in sausage, and bake it!). Kids love them, too! They make great lunchbox additions.
