Holler-grown, right here in Appalachia
At Hollerpeños, we love rare, heirloom, non-gmo, and open-pollinated garden plants, and we grow as many as we can in our little holler in Burnsville, NC.
Avery grew up here in Burnsville, stewarding the land with his family and learning to preserve seeds and genetic diversity at a very young age.
We are members of Slow Food USA, Asheville Chapter and we grow many foods from their Ark of Taste project.
Everything is grown and raised as organically as possible. Our animals eat organic, non-GMO, soy-free feed when not foraging and our plants are given organic fertilizer and natural pest control with help from our poultry friends and diatomaceous earth.
We educate and connect people through raising and growing a sustainable addition to your own food supply.
Most of all, we strive to raise our Punkin’ with what we had growing up — good, wholesome food, an unforgettable childhood outdoor experience, and a sense of entrepreneurship

We try our best to source certified organic seeds. In some cases, our heirloom seeds are so rare, they come from farms that, like us, have not taken the costly step to be certified, but they use organic growing practices.
